Sidney Bibb Sexton

He was born November 17, 1944 in Alexander City, AL to Pauline Prather Sexton and Julius Thomas "JT" Sexton. He lived his childhood years in Opelika and later attended Auburn University. Following his graduation there, he began his career with IBM in Huntsville as an engineer as part of the US Space Program. He was a part of the Apollo, SpaceLab and SkyLab efforts for many years prior to retirement. Later he was employed by Intergraph Corporation until his second retirement. During his recent retirement years he enjoyed hiking, camping and traveling the world.

Sidney was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his parents, and brother Robert (Jane Lee) Sexton.

He is survived by his daughter Pamela Suzanne Sexton, and his niece and nephew and their families; also by his fiancee' Jacquelyn Frazier Ewart.

A private burial will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL. Out of concern for the health and safety of all, a memorial service will be scheduled in the future.
