Sarhonda Ann Pitkus, 53, passed away 24 January 2024. She was a resident of Huntsville Al and a patient at Huntsville Hospital at the time of her passing. Sarhonda was born 28 July 1970 in Panama City FL, to Donald and Poppy Whisman. Sarhonda was a long-time resident of Fort Walton Beach FL until she married Eric Pitkus in July of 1990. She was a stay at home mother to their daughter Tayor Pitkus. She was a strong military spouse raising their daughter at many different duty stations and alone most of the time. It is because of her that our daughter is the woman she is today. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Eric Pitkus; and their daughter Taylor Pitkus, her father Donald Whisman, Brother Kevin Whisman, Nephew Dustin Whisman, and Great Nieces Kennedy and Kylie Whisman.

She is preceded in death by her mother Voncil “Poppy” Whisman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday March 16th 2024, at the Vahala Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 1 PM. Visitation will Start at 12 PM.
