Quentin D Parsons, age 89, of Huntsville AL passed away on January 8, 2024. Quentin was born in Montgomery Minnesota on November 30, 1934. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leota Bombarger; son, Jerome D Parsons.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Delilah A Parsons; sons, Arthur E Parsons (Kathy), Jeffrey B Parsons (Beth); daughters, Kathleen F Carlin, DeEtta L Collier, Penny L Green, Wanda L Wallace (Robert); grandchildren, Christopher J Parsons (Lydia), Ashley A Trainer (Tiffany), Felicia I Kruse (Mitch), Allison R Smith, Nathaniel L Green (Brittany), Megan E Green, Scott D Parsons, Jared M Parsons (Shelby Ann), Tyler R Carlin, Trevor T Carlin (Miranda); great grandchildren, Simone T Parsons, Emma J Parsons, Eli M Parsons, Veronica G Green, Jayden Parsons, Finley Parsons, Greyson M Parsons, Chase R Parsons, Lucas Parsons, Gage A Burgamy and Graves P Burgamy. He will be deeply missed by all of his family.
Quentin married the love of his life, Delilah A Parsons on March 14, 1967 in Winona, Minnesota and were married almost 57 years. They lived in Pellston, Michigan from 1969 to 1984, relocated to Sioux Falls until his youngest son retired from the Coast Guard and then Quentin and Delilah moved to be with family in Huntsville, Alabama in November 2011.
Quentin enjoyed billiards, reading and traveling. He was an avid outdoorsman. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and hiking. Quentin and Delilah walked all fifty-two states, all fifty-two state capitols and at least one state park in each state. Quentin served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by North Central, Republic and Northwest Airlines from December 1, 1956 until retirement on December 31, 1993.
Quentin was a member of The American Legion, American Volksmarch Association- Prairie Wonders, Active Generations-Computer Lab, Sioux Falls S.D., Senior Center-Master Games, Huntsville, AL.
A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Road NE, Huntsville, AL 35811.
