He was born on October 4, 1974 in Zaragoza, Spain to Paul Alexander Pencola, Jr. and Maria Victoria Pencola. When Paul was almost four, the family, now with little sister Esther, moved to Huntsville, Alabama.
Paul loved a good challenge and was in his early twenties when he began a long and successful career as a manufacturer. For many years, he poured his heart and soul into ensuring that his businesses were thriving and successful and would have the longevity to endure for his two children, Paul “Alex” Pencola V and Nicholas Pencola. He never stopped challenging himself and had a true entrepreneurial spirit.
“When Paul loved, he loved big” as quoted by his former spouse, Tina Pencola. He loved his two children Alex and Nicholas “big” and was intentional and prudent in so many of his decisions because of, in Paul’s words, “my boys”.
Although Paul remained happily settled in Huntsville, he was often able to go back to his homeland and spend time eating, laughing, and wandering with his many cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends in Spain.
Paul was known and loved by many. And as so many friends have said, "He was always willing to take a chance on you". He was the distinctive, stubborn, generous, and determined guy in the black Nike cap.
Paul is survived by his sons, Alex and Nicholas Pencola; his mother, Maria; his sister, Esther Pencola Cunill and brother-in-law Edwin Cunill, along with his nephew Cruz and niece Belen; his half brother, Paul Page; and his former wife, Tina Pencola. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Pencola, Jr.
