Nolan R. Bragg Sr.

July 21, 1933 – November 8, 2014

Nolan R. Bragg Sr., 81, passed away Saturday evening, November 8, 2014 at Tutt Fann Veterans Home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mamie Bragg; his wife of over 40 years, “Lucy Bell” Bragg; his daughter, Karen Lemay and grandson, David Moss Jr.; and 3 sisters, Rachel Legg, Doris Philyaw and Kathryn Landers.

Mr. Bragg is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia Adcock and her husband Greg, and Rebecca Clark; 1 son, Teddy Bragg and his wife Kathi; 1 brother, Thomas Bragg; 3 sisters, Margaret Gaither, Brenda Dickens and Judi Walters; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of devoted nieces and nephews.

Nolan liked golf, fishing, humor, traveling, and Alabama (Roll Tide) Football. He was devoted to his family and was a proud Huntsville Police officer for 34 years. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

You may visit with the family on Tuesday evening at Valhalla from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Pastor Rob Peavy in Valhalla’s chapel commencing at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. The interment, with police honors, will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Fraternal Order of Police.
