Michael "Brian" French was born December 19, 1974 to Glen and Carol French of Arab. He was a resident of Arab for most of his life, but recently moved to Harvest. He passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 surrounded by his wife and children. Brian was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church. He prayed and read the Bible nightly with his family. Brian was an accomplished Senior Network Engineer supporting multiple elements of the Department of Defense. He received numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding support to vital programs, recently and notably in the advancement of the nation’s hypersonic flight test capability. Through his service, to both his colleagues and those he mentored, he enhanced the lives of many and was an example of selfless dedication to others.
Brian fell in love and married his high school sweetheart, Heather, on November 23, 1991. His greatest joy was his children Dylan French and his wife Kaitlyn, Jessica Everidge and her husband Jake, Amber Barnard and her husband Marcus and Blake French.
He was "Papa" to four grandchildren Nora Kate, Benjamin Luke, Parker Cade and Jayce.
He enjoyed making others laugh and was a master storyteller. His hobbies included watching Auburn football, coaching, and traveling with his family. Brian is survived by his father and mother, his wife and children, as well as sister, Sherri French, and brother, Greg French.
Visitation for Brian will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Whitesburg Baptist Church, 7300 Whitesburg Dr., Huntsville, AL 35802, followed by a the celebration of life service at 11:30 am at Whitesburg Baptist Church.
