1, 2020. Margaret was born in Brunswick, Maine. She met and married the love of her life,
Matthew Owen Jones, in Maine. As the wife of a military man, Margaret and Matthew lived at various places throughout their lives, including Germany, Missouri, and Texas. In 1982, Huntsville became the place that they called home.
Margaret’s life was characterized by a passion for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She loved to read the Bible, to share scripture with others, and to support her friends and family through counseling and prayer. She shared the joy, love, and hope of Christ with anyone and everyone that she met; Margaret never met a stranger. She loved everybody, with the unfailing love of Jesus Christ.
Margaret was a teacher and a nanny who had a special way of teaching children how to
behave themselves properly, how to develop their imaginations fully, and how to love Jesus deeply. Margaret was a beautiful, loving, strong woman of faith, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She leaves a loving legacy of many spiritual children, all of whom she nurtured and loved dearly. In a phrase, her family, friends and loved ones would say of her life that she had “Her Father’s Eyes.”
Margaret is survived by her husband, Matthew Owen Jones of Huntsville, Alabama; her
son Gregory Joseph Jones; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Watson Jones; and her grandson, Garrett Matthew Jones, all of Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruth Morrisroe; and her brother, Lloyd Morrisroe, all of Brunswick, Maine.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 20 at 3:00 pm at Valley
Fellowship Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Valley Fellowship Church.
