Macon, GA – Linda Leder Brown passed away at her home on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
Ms. Brown was born in Manning, South Carolina. She later moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1958
and graduated from S. R. Butler High School in 1961. She spent her life dedicated to raising her children and serving as a bookkeeper
for 26 years with the State of Georgia. She first worked at the Community Mental Health Center in Dublin, Georgia.
She then continued her career with the River Edge Behavioral Health Center in Macon, Georgia. Upon retirement in 2007,
Ms. Brown was an avid card player, enjoying time with the Wellness Center Card Sharks and with several bridge and canasta groups.
She also enjoyed reading, attending book clubs, and spending time with her sister and their friends in Huntsville.
Her favorite activity, however, was simply spending time with her children, grandchildren, and other family members.
Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Jim Leder. She is survived by her children,
Charles “Chuck” Brown (Kristin) of Huntsville, AL, Angela Brown of Macon, GA,
and Michael Brown (Stephanie) of Alpharetta, GA; her siblings, Ellen Taylor (Bill) of Huntsville, AL, and James Leder (Suzi) of Huntsville, AL;
her grandchildren, Carmen Brown of Huntsville, AL, Tommy Brown, of Huntsville, AL, and Benjamin Brown of Macon, GA.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Valhalla Memory Gardens in
Huntsville, Alabama with Pastor Steve Wood officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
