Lillie Mae Hulsey

Lillie was born on May 19, 1933, in Flint Tennessee to her parents Loney May and John Williamson. She graduated from New Market High School in 1952. Lillie, an active member of her senior class, was elected Secretary in her senior year.

After graduation, Lillie went to work at Redstone Arsenal where she started in the steno pool and steadily advanced to the Finance and Budget department working on the various missile programs. Her successful career spanned some 30+ years and she received numerous commendations for her exemplary performance.

In addition to her career, Lillie married Ray Hulsey and they were married for 50+ years. During their marriage, Lillie became the proud mother of three boys (Donald, Douglas and Steve). In addition to being a proud mother, Lillie enjoyed gardening, crochet and decorating her house.

Lillie always put her family first and was beloved by her extended family including her many siblings as well as relatives.

Lillie is survived by her sons, Douglas Arnold Hulsey, Steven Edward Hulsey and their respective spouses Paige Hulsey and Sara Hulsey. She is also survived by her grandchildren Taft Hulsey, Adam Hulsey, Jillian Hulsey and Michael Hulsey. Additionally, she is survived by her Great Grandchild Blake Halsey. She is preceded in death by her son Donald Ray Hulsey and her husband Ray Arnold Hulsey.

A memorial service will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on March 7th. The visitation will begin on March 7th at 10:00 AM and the service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM.
