Bubba is survived by his wife, Mindi McArthur McAnally; their three beloved children, Brodie David, Sam Boyd and Nori Mae; his mother, Debra McAnally; his sister, Stacey McAnally; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Larry D. McAnally.
Aside from spending time with his family, one of Bubba’s greatest joys was coaching and watching his boys play baseball, often with his baby girl by his side. He spent countless hours volunteering his time at the local recreation center where he served as Vice President of the board for the Buckhorn Youth Athletic Association. He was an active member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and a 1999 graduate of Buckhorn High School.
Bubba will be remembered for his big smile, bear hugs, quick-wit, practical jokes, larger than life personality, willingness to help anyone in need and his dedication and unconditional love for his family, friends and the numerous kids he was honored coach throughout the years. He was loved and adored by so many who will forever be impacted by his time on this earth.
A candlelight service and celebration of Bubba’s life will be held at the Buckhorn Youth Athletic Association baseball fields on Friday, July 17th, 2020 at 7:30pm. The family respectfully requests that you bring your own seating in order to observe proper social distancing.
An education fund has been established to benefit his children through Locust Grove Baptist Church in New Market, AL. Donations can also be made in his memory to the Buckhorn Youth Athletic Association scholarship fund.
*If you would like to contribute a handwritten memory or story to be added to a memory book for the children, there will be a box located at the concession stand.
