JERLINE POE HALE December 27, 1925 – April 25, 2016 Jerline P. Hale, 90, passed away peacefully at her residence Sunday night surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ohatchee, AL but was a long time resident of Huntsville where she retired from Redstone Arsenal. Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Mae Jones Poe; and her loving husband of 57 years, Clellan Ivan Hale. Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter, Glenda (Danny) Hale of Owens Cross Roads; her brother, John (Evelyn) Poe of Dearmanville, AL; her sister, Lorene Coplin of Ohatchee, AL; 2 grandchildren, Shawnie (Todd) Green of Birmingham and Andy (Kitty) Hale of Scottsboro; 1 great-grandchild, Krista Hale; a host of nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. Jerline, as most people knew her, was a wonderful, kind person and a long time faithful member of Oak Park Baptist Church. She liked to cook, sew, and especially enjoyed to crochet. She used to hand crochet scarves for all the residents of Limestone Lodge in Athens. Jerline just loved shopping, especially for clothes, and had closets full to prove it. Part comedian, she used lots of old sayings and not quote them just right, making everyone laugh. Her friends, both young and old, would get her to dance her circle jig for them, which everyone loved to see. Jerline Hale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. There will be a funeral service conducted by Bro. Alan Crawford commencing at 2:00 PM in Valhalla’s Chapel. The interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Garden’s Last Supper section.
