Jim graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1957, after he would go on to serve with the US Marine Reserves and the Daytona Beach Fire Department in the 60's. Jim later became a heavy equipment mechanic for the State Road Dept. of WV, and Caterpillar mechanic and parts counterperson, Kelly Tractor Co. in Clewiston, FL. He was an avid fisherman, loved to listen to country music in particular when his family was playing and feeding the squirrels and birds around his house.
Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Walker; son James Lewis Walker II (Tami); sister Betty Jean Moss (Jack) of Parkersburg, WV and brother Raymond L. Walker of Clewiston, FL; granddaughter Elaina Diane Walker and grandson Tyler James Walker.
Jim was preceded in death by mother Juanita Hope Walker and father Lewis "Mickey" Walker; brother Michael F. Walker and sister Sharon Dawn Walker Cogar.
A celebration of life service for Jim will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
Jim loved pets having many dogs and cats over his years, he also loved watching and feeding the wildlife, so in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your local humane society or wildlife fund.
