Jackie Parks Fanning, 75 of Gurley passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Allen Fanning and his parents, Leslie Parks Fanning and Jessie Irene Fanning. Jackie is survived by his daughter, Lori (Mark) Light of Huntsville; son, Jack (Mellisa) Fanning of Huntsville; two sisters, Nellie Anderson of Gurley, Elsie (Fred) Rutland of Scottsboro; one brother, Jerry (Sara) Fanning of Gurley; and 4 grandchildren, Josh & Sam Light and Olivia & Jackson Fanning.
Mr. Fanning was a native of Madison County. He retired from Glover & McGaha Truck Shop, where he worked for 27 years.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 23, 2015 beginning at 1:00 pm, with Funeral Services at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
