Fred Wayne Carr, age 79, of Madison, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Fred was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 30, 19433. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Branch Carr; his mother, Hazel Perry-Carr; his sister, Susan Carr-Baker and his granddaughter, Caroline York Fuller.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Nell; his daughters, Ruth Carr-Fuller and Leianne Carr; his grandchildren, Collin Fuller and Grace Fuller; his brother, Ronnie Carr.
Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor. He was a strong Christian and member of First Baptist Church, Madison. He served as deacon and supported the work of the Church through missions and outreach. Fred also served in the U.S. Army and was a First Lieutenant. One of his proudest accomplishments of 2022 was getting his and Mary Nell's book, "The Prodigal", published. They worked together successfully on many projects and he was able to see their most recent endeavor accomplished.
