Frances Swafford Smith, age 86, of Gurley, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. Frances was retired from Motorola. She loved antiques and going to Nascar races with her beloved husband JD and their friends. She was a member of Pleas Mount Baptist Church in Killingsworth Cove.
Frances is survived by her daughter; Deborah Isbell (Rickey), two grandsons; Darrin Isbell (Natasha), Rusty Isbell (Kristy) and 7 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband James D. Smith Sr., her son James D. Smith Jr., her parents Earnest and Dora Swafford and her brother Tommy Swafford.
A Visitation for Frances will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00pm in Valhalla's Celebration Chapel. Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Everlasting Life.
