Years ago I lived by this family in Soddy Daisy and have been searching for them for several years and finally run across Sally’s obituary, really hated to hear this I thought the world of this family and would love to reconnect with them.  Kay Dodd 423-693-9616.

I met Mrs. Hicks at Whitesburg Garden. She was a resident there and this was my first job as a CNA. Mrs. Hicks was so kind and so patient with me. I fell in love with her immediately! Her wit and sense of humor and the fact that she had the most tender spirit I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, has made a forever impact on me. She is missed dearly!

Mrs. Hicks was loved by everyone at Whitesburg. She shared  her interesting history And sweet personality with us every day. She developed a special kinship with the therapy dog- whom she named” Lucky Dog”, and will be missed for her wit and wisdom.  Although we have  all suffered a loss- she achieved her grand desire to “ go home.”

Linda I am so sorry about your Mother . I know it is so hard to lose them but we remember that they are not suffering any more. I am praying for you and Andy and your whole family.  Love you dear Short Sister.

Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Eva Barker; husband, Lee Hicks; son, Osbin Lee Hicks, Jr.; and brother, Harley Barker.

She also leaves to cherish her memory six grandchildren, Cindy Bishop, Chris Marion (Shannon), Steve Fleming, Amy Fleming, Greg Hicks (Brandi) and Josh Hicks (Lea); four great grandchildren, Trey Bishop (Angelica), Vivian Fleming, Elijah Hammick and Hemingway Hicks; and one great-great grandson, Lance Bishop.
