Emmett Sherman Posey

Sherman Posey of Huntsville, Al passed away on November 22, 2022. He was 78 years old, born on April 2, 1944. He was a loving husband, father, pawpaw and great pawpaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie & Ira Posey; father & mother in love, William & Mildred Gentle; grandson, Mason Cozelos; brothers, Leslie (Bub), Bill, Danny, John, Jackie, & Jimmy Posey and sister, Faye Campbell.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 57 years, Rhonda Posey; son Tim Posey (Elyssa Dufrene); daughter Melody Pigg, husband Daniel Pigg; 2 granddaughters, Holly Sadler, husband Chris; Lauren Wolfenbarger, husband Jackson; and 5 precious great grandbabies: Adalyn, Lathan, Rhett, Michael and Jolie. 2 brothers, Bobby Posey and Robby Posey, numerous nephews and nieces.

He spent over 50 years working in the auto parts industry, half of that at Bell Brothers Auto Parts with his brothers. He loved to garden and spend time with his family. He loved Bama football and the Braves and he loved old western shows. The family will have private graveside service to lay him to rest.
