He entered the US Army in 1955 and retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 in 1983. During his tenure with the Army he was stationed in many various locations throughout the world including Germany, Korea, Hawaii & Texas. Ed touched many people with his good heart, humor and his dedication to his family, friends and his country.
After serving his country proudly, he went on to work and retire a second time from Lockheed Martin as a Senior Systems Analyst here in Huntsville.
Throughout his life, he served as a role model for his family, friends and colleagues. Whether it was caring for his family and friends, on the job preforming his required duties or refereeing a football game; he strived to maintain the highest form of professionalism possible. He was a very giving and caring person who would not hesitate to help someone in need.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne of 58 years; his two children, Melahi and Edward; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by five siblings. He will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
God has received a new angel within his ranks who will serve him well. May his journey to heaven be quick and peaceful.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm in Valhalla's Chapel. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
