After a well-lived life, Doris Odair Faulkner, 94, of Huntsville, peacefully passed away, December 24, 2014, and is now with her Lord and Savior. She was born, March 5, 1920, in Fayetteville, TN.
As a young woman she moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she worked on the line for the Cadillac Motor Car Division for over 30 years. Returning to Huntsville after retirement she was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church for a number of years.
A devoted and loving wife and sister, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of close to fifty years, James E. Faulkner; her parents, Roy A. and Jennie A. Moyers; her sisters, Hazel Moyers, Nancy Couch; and 3 brothers, Larry, Joe and James Moyers.
Mrs. Faulkner is survived by 2 brothers, the Rev. Richard Moyers and Roy A. Moyers, Jr.; 4 nieces, Jennie Couch, Lori Brooks, Alexa Huber, and Aleta Moyers; her nieces and nephews, Pat Gordon, Donna Danback, Jamie Cortez, Lex Moyers, Joyce West, and Coleman Glass. “Dot”was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many!
You may visit with the family on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. A funeral service with Rev. Dean Brooks conducting will commence at 2:00PM in Valhalla’s Chapel. The entombment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.
