CW4 Geoffrey West (Retired) went to be with his parents and heavenly father on June 14, 2021. He was born on March 12, 1945 in Edmonton Middlesex, England to Herbert West and Phyllis West. Geoff and his parents moved to the United States when he was one year old. He moved to Keene, New Hampshire when he was fourteen years old. He graduated from Keene High School. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1985 with a BS in Business.
Geoff joined the Army when he was eighteen years old and served twenty-five years. For eighteen years he was a Pershing Missile System Technician while in the Army. Geoff had Warrant Officer orientation in 1969. He had advanced Pershing work in 1977 and Pershing maintenance work in 1983. He worked with Gateway to Germany in 1981. He had Senior Warrant Advanced training class in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert West; mother, Phyllis West Sawyer; and his step-father, Robert Sawyer, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Kay Creel West who was by his side when he went home. He is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Colby (Kenneth). He is also survived by his three daughters, Dawn Morrison (Steve), Laura Ray (Greg), and Vicki West. He is survived by his two sons, Keith West (Juanita) and Kevin West (Trista) as well as two step-sons, Kenneth Creel (Nikki), and James Creel, II (Nancy). Geoff also left behind his 26 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, who loved him dearly as well as a sweet little girl, Harper Bales, who loved him and loved playing tablet games with him. He also leaves behind a niece Kristen Goodenough (Peter) and a nephew, Kenneth Colby, II, along with his great nephew, Kenneth Colby, III.
Geoff loved his children, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of us but we all know that he is watching us.
His Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, June19, 2021 at 3PM with visitation from 1PM till 3PM. Service will be done by Rev. Charles Gattis, Rev. Mac Buttram and Rev. Abi Carlisle-Wilke.
