Charlotte Ann Miller, also known as Nana, peacefully passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 86, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born on February 21, 1937, in Princeton, Alabama, to Amos and Elize Walker.
During her remarkable life, Charlotte raised a loving and accomplished family, which she considered her greatest accomplishment. She owned her own business in the beauty industry for 43 years before retiring. Charlotte had a zest for life and enjoyed various activities such as camping, traveling, bowling, and square dancing.
She is survived by her three sisters: Jimmie Marflak, Bonnie Kirkpatrick and Dwalah Edward, as well as her brother Dan Walker. Charlotte is also survived by her two children, Marsha Couey and Jason Miller (Sharee). She was a beloved grandmother to Gabriel Couey, Joshua Couey (Kelly), Adam Couey (Tiffany), and a cherished great-grandmother to Lane Martin, Russell Couey (Ashley), Cody Couey, Tyler Couey (Kaitlyn), Logan Couey, Cailee Couey, Drake Couey (Abigail), Mika Couey, and great-great grandson Garrett Russell Couey.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her late husband, Benjamin Miller, as well as her sisters Chris Fowler and Ruth Williams.
A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held on January 14, 2024. More details about the ceremony will be provided at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, COPD research, or a charity of your choice.
Charlotte Ann Miller, Nana, will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
