Carla Paulette Gayle

CARLA PAULETTE GAYLE May 20, 1949 – June 14, 2015 Carla P. Gayle, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Crestwood Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and her daughter. Ms. Gayle’s survivors include her son, Jason Ruschmann of Huntsville, AL; her sister, Vicki Laney and her husband Pat Payne of Grant, AL; her sister in law, Julia Laney of Beaufort, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Carla, as most people knew her, was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army having been stationed in Germany, and continued her career in Civil Service work at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. She was a spectacular mother, very strong willed, but very over considerate of others almost to the point of being selfless. She loved reading, gardening and playing bridge with her friends. Carla Gayle could light up the room with her smile; she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
