Beverly June Rohde, 72, of Oveido, FL (formerly of Galesville, WI) passed into eternal life on Monday, June 19th, 2023. Beverly was born February 17, 1951, to Elmer and Marion (Sorenson) Rohde in Galesville, Wisconsin. She was the youngest of four children. She started her post-secondary studies at Luther College but transferred and ultimately graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration and a Master’s degree of Science in Information System Analysis and Design.
She worked for many decades in the Human Resources Information Systems field for companies such as SunTrust Bank, Deloitte & Touche, TDS/Computing Services and Ingersoll Rand (in the Trane sector). Over the years, she lived in various places including Eugene, OR, Atlanta, GA, Norwalk, WI, Madison, WI, Galesville, WI and ultimately Oveido, FL. Some of her favorite years were spent living with, caring for, and traveling with her “Pops”, Elmer, of Galesville, Wisconsin. She loved traveling and throughout her lifetime, visited many countries including, Peru, China, and Australia, and various places in Europe and Africa. During some of her travels in Europe, she was able to connect with distant relatives who helped her with the genealogy research she had done for the family ancestry. She enjoyed learning and sharing about the Rohde family with her relatives and friends.
She faithfully attended First Free Church in Onalaska, Wisconsin for many years and her last church family was Cross Life Church in Oveido, Fl. She participated in countless small church groups, read and studied her Bible daily, supported missions faithfully, and prayed diligently for her family and friends during her entire life.
Beverly is survived by her brother, Tom (Lauril) Rohde, and nine nieces and nephews; Kirstin (Pete) Mehls, Christina (Jorge) Bensus, Rachel (Chris) Tocco, Cathy (Benjamin) Peterson, Joshua (Rachel) Buhl, Meredith (John) Hink, Christopher (Angie) Rohde, Christian (Laura) Buhl, and Deborah (Dustin) Wunder and their 26 children and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Barbara J. Zondag and Betty J. Buhl, and her nephew, Peter Zondag. We rejoice that she is now dancing in Heaven with her “Pops”.
There will be a celebration of life held at Stoney Creek Inn in Onalaska, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 22nd from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Online condolences can be sent to the family at [email protected].
