Bettie was an absolutely wonderful, strong woman. She definitely endured more than her fair share of adversities and did so with grace. She made it to 99 from West Virgina where she met her husband, love of her life, and father of her children, Adrian Paige. She then lived the military life moving where Paige was needed. During this time, she had four children. She saved everything because it had a use for someone at some point. Most of the time she was right (as usual). She was a very hard-working woman with helping “Paige” in the “garden” (acers) to canning some of the most delicious huge veggies, fruit's, made, jams, jellies, apple butter, and so on and so on and so on. She touched everyone she ever met in one way or another. She was extremely caring and forgiving. Don’t get me wrong, she would lay down the law when she needed to, and trust me, you listened when she did. She had a kind heart and caring soul. Her story is too long to put in a service. In preparation for this service, it was said “I just hope everyone shares their stories. There are many many years' worth. She is the matriarch of our family, and we need to live our lives in her honor.
A visitation for Bettie will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Bettie will be laid to rest with her love at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.
