Ashley was a licensed clinical social worker and served in various locations in Alabama. She was a avid hiker, volunteer at local humane society, loving and giving individual who had the compassion of 5 people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious laughter, a tender heart for all animals, and brightened up the room upon her arrival.
She was loved by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Ashley is survived by her mother Gloria M Potter (Colonel Don); father Charles McCary (Nancy); brother Stephen McCary; uncles Tom McHale Jr, Doug and Judy McCary, Jodi McCary; her 2 special nephews Landon (Rosa) and Hayden as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Ashley was preceded in death by her brother Jeff McCary, her uncle Pat McCary and both sets of her grandparents, Tom and Nila McHale; Elwood McCary and Jane and Paul Dukes.
A visitation for Ashley will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, with a celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM. A private graveside service for the McCary family will occur later.
Ashley was a Christian and true believer of Jesus. We rejoice in knowing that she is walking the streets of gold with our Lord and Savior.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ashley's memory may be made to Local Humane Society, Community Free Dental Clinic of Huntsville, or to a charity of your choice.
