April Denise Hamric

April Denise Hamric, age 48 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. April is survived by her two daughters, Lily Hamric and Abi Nielsen, her parents, Kelly and Betsy Hamric, and her brothers, Dana Hamric and Todd Hamric. She is also survived by her aunt Judy Wyatt and cousins Tracy (Sarah) Wyatt and Jayson Wyatt, along with many nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family.

April was born in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Houston High School in Germantown, TN. She was a talented graphic artist and also specialized in makeup effects, hair and drawing faces. While attending the Masters School of Cosmetology in Huntsville, AL she worked as a makeup artist on the set of a movie being filmed in the Huntsville area. Her other jobs included working in a hair salon, coffee shop, and her favorite job was being a DJ at local clubs. She enjoyed many hobbies including: dancing, singing, cooking, drawing, and playing with her beloved kitties, Friskers and Sarafina. If music was her passion her love of animals was her soul.

Her greatest treasure and joy was being a mother.

The family will have a memorial service in her honor at The Chapel of Love Mausoleum at the Valhalla Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

April loved animals and flowers, so the family requests that donations be sent to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, 2812 Johnson Road SW, Huntsville, AL 35805 or flowers may be sent to Valhalla Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
