Alice Maude Hogan

Alice Maude Hill Hogan August 17, 1920 – November 13, 2016 Alice M. Hogan 96, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Ashland, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darsey and Ura Duffy Hill; her loving husband of over 66 years, Earnest Hogan; and several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her precious memory is her son, William E. (Diane) Hogan of Grant, AL; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Alice or Me Maw as she was affectionately known, was a hard working woman who believed in family and God and loved the outdoors. Alice was an excellent cook and spent most of her time in the kitchen, although she loved to quilt and sew she was always working. People loved her canned jams and jellies but she was most famous for her pickles. Alice Hogan was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her! You may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 for a brief visitation before services commence at 11:00am at Valhalla Funeral Home.
