William N. "Bill" Mills

William (Bill) Neil Mills, age 80, of Huntington, Indiana, died on April 24, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bill was born on July 15, 1932 in Denver, Colorado, to Neil and Leonore (Stark) Mills. He graduated from East Denver High School in Denver, Colorado, and Colorado Agricultural and Mining College in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a degree in electrical engineering, in 1956. Bill was employed as an engineer with Convair Division, General Dynamics Corporation, San Diego, California, and with Tracer Lab, Oakland, California. In 1966, Bill graduated from Indiana University School of Law and practiced law with Bangs, Mills, and Rollo and Mills and Northrop. Bill was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Huntington County Indiana Bar Association, Carlisle Crossing Homeowners Board, and the Huntington County Habitat for Humanity. Bill was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Elders. Bill was later a member of the College Park United Brethren serving on the Administrative Board. Bill was united in marriage with Sylvia S. Mills on December 18, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana. He leaves behind two children: Rebecca Mills Green (Scott Green), Thomas Neil Mills (Lori Mills); four grandchildren: Katherine Mills, Jacob Mills, Michael Green, and Benjamin Green; and one great-grandchild: Harrison Mills. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at College Park United Brethren Church, 1945 College Ave., Huntington, Indiana on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating. A private family interment will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie, Indiana.
