Rodney Alderman Jr. 57 of Huntington passed away on Sunday August 6, 2023 at his home. Rodney attended high school in Clinton Wisconsin prior to graduating from Turner High School in Beloit Wisconsin in 1984. After graduation, Rodney served his country in the United States Navy. During his career, he worked as a Foreman at Majestic before becoming a Lab Tech at Water Furnace. Rodney’s favorite past times included being a loving father to his daughter Felecia, riding his motorcycle, camping, being an active member of ABATE, being a loving “Dog Dad” to his K-9 companions, and most importantly cooking. He was known for his great meals that he loved to share with everyone.
Rodney was born on June 2, 1966 in Beloit, Wisconsin the son of the late Rodney Sr. and Kathleen (Beals) Shaw. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter: Felecia (Kevin) Fisher of Denver, Colorado; his mother: Kathleen Shaw of Huntington; two sisters: Christy (Mark) Hinman of Huntington and Shawn Alderman of Wisconsin; two dogs: Brody and Sophie; and two grand puppies: Otis and Bentley.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother: James Alderman; and uncle: Spencer Beals; and an Aunt: Donna McFarlin.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday August 13, 2023 from 2:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana.
