Robert "Bob" "Big Dog" L. Bartrom, 65, passed away on Monday May 27, 2024, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Robert was a 1976 graduate of Huntington North High School. Bob had worked at Shuttleworth for 27 years, as well as the Roush Lake Shooting Range for several years. Recently, Bob became a pastor for the past five years for Big Dog ministries. Bob was an excellent musician who played guitar and was a member of a "Gospel Rock Band" that toured nursing homes. Bob loved collecting guitars and shooting.
Bob was born on February 16, 1959, in Huntington to the late Jerry and Leilani (Yount) Bartrom.
He was united in marriage to Marlene Campbell on February 27, 1982, in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter: Skydawn (Travis) Bickel of Huntington; a brother: Tracy (Mary Jane) Bartrom of Huntington; a sister: Tammie (Jeff) Frederick of Huntington; two grandchildren: Melody Bickel and Hunter Bickel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 6, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, located at 2901 Guilford Street Huntington, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will take place at the Mossburg Cemetery at a later date.
