Paul Krieg, 91 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Huntington, passed away on Monday morning, October 14, 2024, at Chateau Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Fort Wayne. He had worked at Kitchen Maid and Eckrich and later Dinius Consulting Engineers for many years until his retirement. Paul was a 1951 graduate of Huntington High School. He later served his country in the U.S. Army, spending some of his time in Germany. Paul was a member of the Isaac Walton League, serving as a Boy Scout leader, and the Masonic Lodge in Fort Wayne for many years. He was a member of the St. Peter's First Community Church and Grace St. John's United Church in Fort Wayne. Paul loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the outdoors.
Paul was born on July 6, 1933, in Huntington, a son of Wilber A. and Hazel L. (Mickley) Krieg.
He was united in marriage to Joan W. Hoffman on August 28, 1955, in Huntington. Joan survives.
Additional survivors include five daughters: Anna (Mark) Firnhaber of LaPorte, Rebecca (Mike) Landrigan of Fort Wayne, Laura Rohrs of Fort Wayne, Jennifer (Kathy) Krieg of Lafayette, Barbara Pellegrini of Monticello; twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Hazel; four brothers: Richard Krieg, Kieth Krieg, James Krieg and Bill Krieg; a sister: MaryAlice Jackson and a granddaughter: Christina Landrigan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm following the visitation at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the St. Peter's First Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana.
