Michael A. Crone

Michael A. Crone, 47 of Huntington passed away on September 14, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. He was a 1992 graduate of Huntington North High School, 1995 graduate of Ivy Tech and 2016 graduate of Indiana Tech. Mike attended Awakening Church. He worked at Hayes Lemmerz, Stride Rite and Pathfinder Services in the IT Department. He enjoyed playing video games with his son, Matthew. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to car shows, especially the Corvette Show in Kentucky. Mike was born on September 1, 1974 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Gerald and Pamela (Barth) Crone. He was united in marriage to Michelle Drabenstot on July 27, 1996 in Huntington. Michelle survives. Additional survivors include a son: Matthew A. Crone of Huntington; parents: Gerald and Pamela Crone of Andrews; mother-in-law: Sandra L. Drabenstot of Huntington; a brother: Brian (Nathena) Crone of Huntington; a sister: Julie (Timothy) Thompson of Huntington; brother-in-law: Michael (Clarissa) Drabenstot of Huntington; paternal grandmother: Dorothy Crone of Metamora, IL; five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Roger Drabenstot; paternal grandfather: John Crone; maternal grandparents: Elma and Charles Barth. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County. Memorial donations can be made out to Indiana Dream Center in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
