Mark R. Platt, 44, of Huntington passed away on Monday October 21, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mark was a 1998 graduate of Huntington North High School. He then attended Ball State University, where he was a member of the Delta Gamma Iota Fraternity. Mark worked most of his life as a sales rep for Hewlett Packard and spent the last two years working as an account executive for Converge Technologies. Mark was a Boy Scout in his youth and enjoyed all sports. Mark was the former Vice President of Huntington County Baseball. He coached all of his children in youth sports, including softball, baseball, basketball, and P.A.L. football. He loved to spend time on the lake fishing and boating, enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and San Francisco 49ers fan.
Mark was born on November 29, 1979, a son of Jerry and Ruby "Ann" (Cogar) Platt. His parents survive in Huntington.
Mark was united in marriage to Amber Kramer on August 14,2004 in Huntington. Amber is the daughter of Charles and Sylvia Kramer. His wife and her parents survive in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two sons: Logan Platt and James Platt of Huntington ; a daughter: Kenzie Platt of Huntington; and a sister: Jennifer Platt of Decatur.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 31, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Located at 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750.
A Funeral Service will held on Friday November 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will take place at Union Cemetery.
