Linda S. Robrock, 80 of Huntington passed away at 4:10 am on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Linda was a 1955 graduate of Huntington High. She owned and operated the Affordable Shoppe known as “the Barn” for years. She enjoyed fishing and was a Sunday school teacher for the Church of Christ for many years, and also taught Vacation Bible School. Linda was a loving mother who adopted several children into her home. She was known for gathering the games at get together’s and her famous mashed potatoes. She loved Christmas and was known for her hand written letters and for being a professional garage saler.
Linda was born on December 4, 1936 in Huntington, the daughter of Wilbur and Lilly (Hull) Miller.
She was united in marriage to Lynn Robrock on August 21, 1955 in Huntington. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a six daughters: Victoria Piedmont of Bluffton, Jill Martin of Huntington, Jan Akins of Chattanooga TN.: Kathy Tanner of Huntington; Laurie (Kevin) Wolfe of Franklin TN., and Tamera (Phil) Conner of Rochester Hills MI.; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Timothy Robrock, four sisters, and one brother
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made out to the Diabetes Association or to Camp Indogan both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
