I sadly learned of Ken's passing away last night.  We became close friends in the early 70s and he maintained a good relationship with my parents until their passing.  Ken had the most beautiful smile and was full of fun and kindness.  He loved tennis and to laugh and joke.  I will miss his laughter most of all.  My very best to his family.  With love,  Cindy

I thought of one more thing that I would like the Family to know about Ken and his F-111 career as a Weapon System Officer(WSO) - not many people outside of the F-111 community realize that Ken was the one who discovered the commandeered(by the Cambodians) Myaguez container ship near Koi Tang Island in the Gulf of Thailand in 1975. His discovery led to the eventual rescue of the crew. He was a great guy!!

Bill and Andy, my family and I are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man. He was tough but he was fair, generous and strong.  The memory that sticks out the most for me was when your parents were adding on the the kennels back in the 90's. A man who was delivering the gates for the kennel addition became trapped because the load had shifted while he was unloading.  Your father used all his strength to keep the weight of the gates from crushing the man to death. I have so many memories of your parents in the short time I worked for your mom that I will always treasure. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Nobody will ever understand the love we shared for each over the past 15 years.  He was definitely a part of our family from the get-go and was accepted into the family regardless of our age difference. I am so glad that I got the privilege of getting to know Ken and his wonderful family while I worked at Tipton House. He was an amazing man full of awesome stories and he will always have a special place in my heart. Rest in Peace my friend.

I doubt that anyone knows more about Kenny than I do.  The old farm house only had 3 bedrooms:  one for our parents, one for our sister, and one for us 5 boys.  We boys had to sleep in that one small room until Don went off to the Air Force in 1952.  Kenny and I shared a bed until he went to college in 1957. (That's 17 years!) We were up and out of the house by 5:45 AM every morning; off to milk the cows and do other chores before eating a big breakfast and catching the school bus.  The two of us were attached at the hips.

Kenny was a stud:  the apple of our mother's eye.  He was handsome and athletic, a star at basketball.   Kenny saw himself as a movie star, Sean Connery to be exact, and God's gift to women.

So, we grew up and moved our separate ways, but continued to stay very close.   Kenny would lean on me for input into his decision making, but I don't think he was a good listener.

I believe of all the things Kenny achieved ( basketball, Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, building and running Law's Country Kennel), his greatest achievement  by far was his rearing of two fine young sons:  Bill and Andy.  Kenny taught them good work ethics and discipline.  He took great pride in his sons.

I am disappointed that I am not present for this farewell celebration, but I know he understands.

May you Rest In Peace Ken, it was a great pleasure to know you. It was great to see you on our last visit to Indiana. I always liked going to see and listen to him sing, boy could he sing. May you never be in pain again. Thoughts to the family, and my sister.
