Karen S. Anderson

Karen S. Anderson, 55 of Huntington passed away at 2:39 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Karen received her CNA Certification and was on the Dean’s List. She was CNA at Miller’s Merry Manor and Norwood’s Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of Faith Community Church.

Karen was born on October 3, 1960 in Inglewood, California, the daughter of Glenn A. and Margaret V. (Van Meter) Howard.

She was united in marriage to Robert H. Anderson on July 7, 1997 in Long Beach, California. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters: Nicole Idle of Huntington; Melissa D. Anderson of Huntington; two sons: Michael T. Anderson of Huntington; Matthew E. Anderson of Fort Wayne; three brothers: Chris Howard of California; Joel Howard of Bluffton; Jan Howard of Huntington; her mother: Margaret Howard of Huntington; mother-in-law: Miriam Anderson of California; five grandchildren: Christian and Calynn Parks; Kaiden McClurg, Quentin Monnier and Trinity Monnier: sister-in-law’s: Connie Baccera, Barbara Abraham, Dorothy Galas, Pattie Wilson, Roberta Dvorscak and Barbara Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her father: Glenn A. Howard in 1996.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 3:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County at a later date.
