Dorothy Marie Timberman Bush, 88 entered into her Heavenly home on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Huntington, Indiana. Born March 1, 1929 in Clay County, Indiana, she was the daughter of John Robert and Eula Parrish Timberman and wife of John Reed Bush who preceded her in death in 2001.
Dorothy was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and earned a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Indiana University. She was a 38 year School teacher at: Bloomfield High School, Indianapolis School #49, Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Tecumseh Jr. High School, Monitor and Buck Creek Schools, East Tipp Jr. and High School and Wainwright Jr. High until her retirement in 1991.
Dorothy married John R. Bush on December 20, 1961 in Shelbyville, Indiana. She moved to Huntington to be near her son’s family following John’s death in 2001.
Survivors include: a son: James Bush and wife Peggy; grandsons: Alexander and wife Katheryn of Denver, CO; Joshua Bush of Huntington; a sister: Mary and husband Andy Gantenbein of Stevensville, MI; sister-in-law: Mary Jane Bell Timberman of Brazil, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Bernard Eugene Timberman, and two sisters: Catherine Timberman and Lela Josephine and husband Al Durbin.
The family will greet friends at Faith Lutheran Church, 3416 E. 900 N., Roanoke, Indiana on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Shayne Jonkers officiating.
Interment will be at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lafayette, Indiana.
