Cynthia R. Vorick-Walker, 56 of Chandler, Arizona and formerly of Huntington passed away on January 23, 2022 at her residence in Arizona. Cindy was such an amazing, selfless person who always put everyone else first. She took great pride in being a mother and dedicated her life to her children. Once her children were almost grown, Cindy pursued her dream of nursing and graduated from Brown Mackie School of Nursing. She was an extremely hard worker who worked as a nurse for nearly ten years. She enjoyed traveling and warm weather, which ultimately led her back to Arizona where she found love and happiness. Cindy dearly loved her children, grandchildren and her dog Maggie.
Cindy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Priscilla Fugman.
Survivors include two sons: Brandon (Karise) Kabage of Peru, Blake Kabage of Huntington; a daughter: Erica (Ben Brown) Walker of Van Buren; a sister: Cheryl Lester of Huntington; two brothers: Chad (Mindy) Youmans of Huntington, Jeff Youmans of Gobles, MI; mother: Priscilla Goudreau of Huntington; partner: Bernie Boland of Chandler, AZ; four grandchildren: Sawyer Kabage, Graham Kabage, Grayson Kabage all of Peru and Oliver Brown of Van Buren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson: Ethan Timothy Kabage.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s Health guidelines.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington County.
