Carolyn Jean Quinn, 92 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Huntington, passed on to her heavenly home on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne. She was a lifelong resident of Huntington and a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Carolyn had a great love for her family. Helping out at church wherever needed and preparing her special holiday meals. She was generous, loving and very proud of her family and will be missed. Her last days were spent at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Fort Wayne. The family would like to thank the staff and hospice for their care.
Carolyn was born on April 18, 1931, in North Manchester to the late Ovid and Margaret (Keiser) Garrison.
She was united in marriage to the late William “Bill” Quinn on January 10, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2011.
Survivors include two daughters: Diana (Carl) Hockemeyer and Susan (Don) Fuess both of Hudson, IN; and a nephew: Gary Bohrer of Ft. Wayne; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: Jack and Max Garrison, two sisters: her twin-Marilyn Garrison, Joann Bohrer and a nephew: Jeff Bohrer.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
