Beverly June Burkhart 75 of Huntington passed away on Friday January 13, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Beverly worked as a cashier at the service desk at Walmart for eight years. She was a member of the Clear Creek Church, the Happy Grandmothers Club also known as the Women’s Club, and American Legion Post 7. Beverly owned and operated Beverly’s Beauty Shop for eight years. She loved riding on her husband’s Harley Davidson, helping her son mow the lawn, and especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind her faithful canine companion Candy.
Beverly was born on June 25, 1947 in Huntington the daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda (Enz) Eckert.
She was united in marriage to the late Gary Burkhart on August 10, 1968 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on February 29, 2016.
Survivors include three sons: Scott Burkhart of Huntington, Shane (Bridgett) Burkhart of Huntington, and Steven (Aloha) Burkhart of Springboro Ohio; two brothers: Orville Kern of Littleton CO and Michael Eckert of Columbia City; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Dalton) Adams of Huntington, Conner Burkhart of Lemoore CA, Angela Burkhart of Springboro OH, and Samantha Burkhart of Springboro OH.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday January 17, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Clear Creek Church Huntington, Indiana.
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. the Clear Creek Church immediately following the visitation.
Interment will take place at a later date.
