Shirley Sweet Poser

Shirley married D. Leonard Poser on May 9, 1948 and they lived together in Lawrenceville, NJ and Highland Beach, FL. They were married for 63 years prior to Leonard’s passing in 2011.

Shirley graduated from Plainfield High School in 1942. She was the manager of one of the stores in the family business, the Leroy Shop in the Lawrenceville Shopping Center.

Shirley was an avid swimmer and bridge player. She often volunteered at her children’s elementary school and took up golf as an adult. Shirley was also a member of Hadassah.

Shirley was the devoted mother of Mindey Elgart (Bart Kardonsky) of Newtown, PA and Wendy Anne Poser (George Hirsh) of New York, NY. She was the loving grandmother of Remy and Livia Elgart.

Shirley was predeceased by her brother Mortimer Sweet and is survived by her brothers Allen and Richard Sweet.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service at 11 AM on Sunday, January 31st at the Lamb Funeral Home, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
