He was a long-time resident of Gloucester Township, NJ, spending his final years in Warrington, PA. Paul was born on December 4, 1953, in Hartford, CT, to parents, Edward Maurice Labadie and Juliette Doris Lestage Labadie. He graduated from South Catholic High School in Hartford, CT in 1971. He continued his education, graduating from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Paul went on to establish a career as a managing chemical design engineer, working for Texaco and later Sun Company (Sunoco), for over 45 years.
Since high school, Paul was an avid competitive runner, training and completing many marathons, including the 100th running of the Boston Marathon. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, children, and friends. In addition, he enjoyed golfing, playing until his final months, and being a part of his after-work golf league.
Besides his hobbies and passions, Paul will be remembered as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether for his children, friends, or neighbors.
Paul is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Hansen Labadie, his two children, Marc (Christine) Labadie and Amanda (Benjamin) Krevitz, his two grandchildren, Lauren Labadie, and Nathan Krevitz, and his three siblings, Jacqueline (William) Hippe, Muriel (Robert) Alford, and Robert (Nancy) Labadie.
A memorial service and interment to be determined during spring/summer at Mount Saint Benedict, in Bloomfield, CT.
