Nancy Mae (Herr) Frazier, 91, of Berwyn, PA, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 in Jeanes hospital, Philadelphia, PA., surrounded by her family. Born on September 2, 1924 in Philadelphia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis W. Herr and Bessie (Bennett) Herr.
Nancy was a graduate of James Russell Lowell Elementary School and Olney High School, Philadelphia. She worked as a switchboard operator at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, was a banking associate at Industrial Valley Bank in Jenkintown and library assistant at Glenside Library.
In January, 1955, Nancy married George Frazier, a widower with three young children: George, Joanne and Patricia. Nancy and George were blessed with four more children: Jeffrey, Nanciann, John and Maryanne.
Nancy was active in The First Presbyterian Church of Olney. She enjoyed performing in amateur productions with her church and with her family. She loved spending time at the shore with her family, was an avid reader, and greatly enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, scrabble, miniature golf, bowling and pinochle. Other activities included being active in the Mother’s Auxiliary Boy Scout Troop 203. After George’s death in 1977, Nancy continued to spend most of her time caring for her family and remaining active in her community and church.
Nancy is survived by her children: George Frazier and his wife, Patricia; Joanne Frazier DiBattista and her husband, Dominic; Patricia Frazier Pate (the late Robert Pate); Jeffrey Edward Frazier and his wife, Doreen; Nanciann Frazier Woodward and her husband, W. Steven; John Martin Frazier and his wife, Phyllis and Maryanne Frazier Coppinger and her husband, Stephen. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: George Patrick Frazier and his wife, Robin; Michael Frazier and his wife, Erene; Jennifer Jean Frazier Tharp and her husband, Casey; Richard Boclair and his wife, Valeri; Jason Frazier, Tara Villa, Nicole Villa Cordial and her husband, Patrick; Robert Pate, Laura Pate, Sarah Frazier Deluisi and her husband, James; Jason Frazier, Alexandra Frazier Woodward, Scott Andrew Frazier Woodward, Matthew Carmint Woodward, Madeleine Rose Frazier, John Thomas Frazier, Elizabeth Prellwitz, David McGrath, Melanie McGrath and 18 great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
