Lorraine Louise Brown

Born August 2, 1928, Lorraine was the beloved wife of Charles, and the devoted mother of Greg (Sara), Barry (Berry), and Brian (Linda). She loved and was loved unconditionally by her grandchildren: Liz, Ben, Nick, Maddie, Evan, and Abby. In her last years, she was blessed by great-grandchildren: Reed, Georgia, Esther, and Nellie.

Lorraine was born in Philadelphia. In Kindergarten she formed life-long friendships and met the love of her life when she was 16. They married in 1949, started a family, and she became involved in their education, eventually becoming a Head Start teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. She was a lifelong learner, pursuing knowledge in opera, art, and the theater. She travelled all over the world, recently going on a cruise to Greece.

Lorraine’s influence will continue to be felt by the younger generations.

She was known for her style and was the ultimate “Maxxinista”!

Gram was our ultimate fan. She would do all the things all the time for all of us.
