Leslie John Williams, affectionately known as Les, was born on November 9, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to Clarence D. Williams, Jr and his wife, the late Vivian Grace Williams. Leslie was the youngest of four children, Louis (deceased), Clarence (Jitter), and Mary. Leslie’s early education was in St. Charles Catholic School in Philadelphia and he later graduated from Bensalem High School. After his high school graduation, Leslie enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, Leslie served his country as a meteorologist. Following his tour of duty, Leslie attended Delaware State majoring in accounting. He also pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at Delaware State.
Leslie moved to Trevose in 1958 where he met his lifelong love MaryAnna (Ann) Rucker in 1965. From this union they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Felicia Quinndaria. Trevose was also the town where Leslie met his most dearest friends.
Leslie was well respected, loyal and committed employee of Verizon, formerly Bell Atlantic, for 30 years. After his many years of service, he was looking forward to joining some of his closest friends in retirement on June 8th.
In his spare time, Les was busy with his cars, music (especially reggae), photography and talking to his childhood buddies on the phone and maintaining his gorgeous backyard.
Leslie was called to eternal rest on June 7, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, MaryAnna (Ann), daughter, Felicia Quinndaria, father,Clarence D. Williams, Jr., brother, Clarence D. Williams III, sister, Mary Louise Harris-Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
His services were held at Lamb Funeral Home; Tuesday June 15, 2010 and was interred at Washington Crossing
Memorial Park; Newtown, PA
