Laura was born in Philadelphia, PA to her parents Gerard and Laura. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy High School in 1968. She married her husband of nearly 50 years, Louis Amadio, in 1973. She was his partner in all things; from when he joined the US Air Force as an officer in 1972, trained as a combat pilot and served with distinction for over 30 years. She raised two children, who are now grown adults with their own families. Lou and Laura have lived in Mississippi, Arkansas, Virginia and Utah before moving back home to Pennsylvania where they have lived for over 42 years.
She was a volunteer librarian at her children's elementary school.
Laura loved to read, watch the Phillies and Eagles, and especially enjoyed camping in their RV and living the traveling lifestyle in retirement.
Laura was preceded in death by her father Gerard, mother Laura, step-father John, and sisters Barbara and Betty.
Laura is survived by her husband Louis, son Lou and daughter Sofia; who miss her dearly as well as her two nieces Lori and Brie.
