Joel M. Tyrrell

Born in Braddock, PA, he grew up in Fairless Hills and has lived in Levittown for over 50 years.

Prior to his retirement, Joel worked for various manufacturing companies and in construction.

In his free time, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved football. His favorite team was the Eagles. Joel also enjoyed bowling.

Mr. Tyrrell was pre-deceased by his two grandchildren, Thomas Burke Jr. and Samantha Burke. He is survived by his wife, Karen L. Tyrrell, his children, Joel and Mary Tyrrell, Cynthia and Harley Van Ginhoven, Joan and Bradley Pranke, Vanya and Tom Burke, Wendy Tyrrell, his step-children, Sean Widmer, Angela and John Holmes, Jennifer Widmer, his 12 grandchildren, Rachael Nye, Matthew and Roseann Tyrrell, Bradley and Chrystal Pranke, Jessica and James Aikens IV, John K. Holmes, Jason and Cady Pranke, Vanya and Gino Wood, Courtney Holmes, Ray and Deanna Tarpley, Ashley Devlin, Allison Devlin, Jack Pfefferkorn, his 27 great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchild, and his siblings, Janice Hughes, John Tyrrell, Tony Ruth Thomas, William Nau, Penny Lynn Griener and Mina Hoh.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 9:30am-11:30am at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Services will be held at 11:30am followed by interment at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
