Jean Mae (Garr) Krug died after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at her residence, Jean was 83. Born in the Somerton section of Philadelphia, Jean was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Waring) Garr. Jean lived in Neshaminy Falls a section of North Wales, PA for the past 10 years, previously and a life-long resident of Philadelphia.
Jean was a loving Mom of six children, a devoted Grandmother of nine, a sister to five brothers, a loving aunt and special friend to many. Jean graduated with the first class of St. Hubert’s High School in Philadelphia in 1945.
A beloved wife of George E. Krug for 59 years, a devoted mother to George Krug Jr., Carol Kuntzmann, Tom Krug, Kenny Krug, Nancy Castor, and Debbie Krug. She was a loving grandmother to Kurt Kuntzmann Jr., Gayle Kuntzmann, Eddie Castor, Amanda Krug, Luke Castor, Samantha and Karli Krug, Erik and Nicole Castor. Sister to Paul and Richard Garr, brothers passed were Joseph, Thomas and John. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday evening from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Services will follow at 11 AM. The interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
