Gail Bates

Gail was born on August 3, 1951 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to parents Leonard Paul and Mary Sheeran Paul. After graduating from North East High School, Gail went on to establish a career as a professional in the Hospitality Industry. She was well known for making all feel welcome and her tenacious spirit. Her enthusiasm, diligent work ethic and professionalism made her a perfect fit as a manager to oversee the opening and operation of the famed Bronko Bills, a cutting-edge country themed dancehall and night club in Northeast Philadelphia. Gail was a long-time resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Gail is survived by her daughter Annette Gouse and her son Frederick (Candice) Gouse II. Gail was a beloved grandmother of Ashley (Taiwan) Jones, Destinee Benene, Christopher Benene, Thomas Barry, Mariah Barry, Peyton Gouse, Simone Gouse, Amelia Gouse and a Great-Grandmother of Isaiah Jones, Israel Jones, Allysiah Jones, Demetri Benene, Brandon Benene, Christopher Benene, Isaac Benene, Jeffrey Barry, and Princeton Scott. Gail is also survived by her former husband and life partner Brian Bates.

A graveside for Gail will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 3573 Pine Rd, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. Please, follow arrows at the entrance of Shalom Memorial Park to be led directly to the grave site.
