Frank J Zanger died on March 23, 2013, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 97 years of age. Born in Billings, Montana, he was the son of the late Joseph and Katie Klein Zanger. He had lived in Churchville for the past 2 years and previously been a longtime resident of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia..
Mr. Zanger was a retired employee of Robert Bruce Knitting in Philadelphia. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific Theater. Frank was a member of the Council Rock – Northampton Senior Citizens Center and a former member of St. Timothy Senior Citizens. He was family oriented and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards.
Frank was the beloved husband of Marie L. Rawley Zanger for 49 before her death in 1996. He was the devoted father of Linda A (Don) Gordon of Churchville, Frank (Marcy) Zanger of Huntingdon Valley and Marianne Zanger of Newtown. He was the brother of Charles Zanger of Atlanta, GA and Julia Tomasetti of Pinehurst, NC. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. His Service will be at 2 PM. The interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
